Cristiano Ronaldo continued his stellar run of form by getting on the scoresheet as Al-Nassr secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Al-Kholood, marking their fourth consecutive win in the Saudi Pro League. The victory brings Jorge Jesus’ side to within three points of leaders Al-Hilal, with Ronaldo and João Félix playing key roles in the dominant performance. Ronaldo opened the scoring early, followed by a header from Mohamed Simakan off a Félix corner, and Kingsley Coman sealed the win with a late penalty.
Ronaldo and Simakan Shine as Al-Nassr Take Control
The second half saw Al-Nassr quickly assert their dominance. Just two minutes after the restart, Félix played a perfectly timed pass to Ronaldo, who slotted home into an empty net to give his side a 1-0 lead. Ronaldo’s 17th goal of the season put him just one behind the league's top scorer, Ivan Toney, and marked the 961st goal of his illustrious career.
Al-Nassr wasted no time in doubling their lead. Simakan, who had already been involved in the build-up, scored with a powerful header from yet another Félix assist, making it 2-0. At this point, Al-Kholood struggled to mount any serious attack, and their situation worsened when captain Hatan Bahbri was sent off for a foul on Simakan after a VAR review.
Kingsley Coman Seals the Win with a Late Penalty
As Al-Kholood’s frustration grew, they were reduced to 10 men when Bahbri was shown a red card for his off-the-ball elbow on Simakan. The match was well and truly over by then, with Al-Nassr firmly in control. In the final stages, Coman was awarded a penalty after being fouled in the box. With both Ronaldo and Mané off the field, Coman calmly converted the penalty, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to seal a 3-0 victory for Al-Nassr.
João Félix: The Unquestionable Star of the Match

Although Ronaldo found the back of the net, it was João Félix who was undoubtedly the standout player of the night. The Portuguese forward was at the heart of everything for Al-Nassr, providing assists for both Ronaldo and Simakan, and creating several additional chances for his teammates. Félix’s movement and creativity were too much for the Al-Kholood defense to handle, and his audacious rabona shot, tipped over the bar by Cozzani, would have been a fitting highlight for an exceptional performance.
Al-Kholood’s Disastrous Night and Bahbri’s Red Card
It was a night to forget for Al-Kholood, who were outclassed by a superior Al-Nassr side. The home defense struggled throughout the match, unable to cope with the attacking prowess of Ronaldo, Félix, and Mané. The biggest disappointment for Al-Kholood, however, was the red card given to their captain, Hatan Bahbri, for violent conduct. The needless elbow on Simakan will result in a suspension for the 33-year-old, further hampering Al-Kholood in the coming weeks.
With this win, Al-Nassr’s charge toward the top of the Saudi Pro League continues, and with key players like Ronaldo and Félix in great form, they will be looking to close the gap to Al-Hilal in the race for the title.
