Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who turns 41 on Thursday, is expected to sit out a second match for Al-Nassr despite sharing images of himself training, and may seek an exit from the Saudi Pro League club in June.

Should Ronaldo depart Al-Nassr, his most probable destination would be a return to his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon.

Nottingham Forest’s England international Elliot Anderson, 23, leads Manchester United’s shortlist of midfield signings, alongside Crystal Palace’s 21-year-old Adam Wharton and Brighton’s 22-year-old Cameroon international Carlos Baleba.
