Former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane accused Manchester City players of showing ‘disrespect’ toward Liverpool following their dramatic victory at Anfield.
City appeared set for another damaging setback in the Premier League title race after Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring with a superb free-kick.
With only ten minutes left, Pep Guardiola’s side were staring at a nine-point gap to title rivals Arsenal before producing a stunning late comeback to keep their championship hopes alive.
Bernardo Silva levelled the match in the 84th minute before Erling Haaland netted a stoppage-time penalty after Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker fouled Matheus Nunes.
The remarkable turnaround leaves Manchester City six points behind league leaders Arsenal with 13 matches still to play.
City players celebrated enthusiastically with their travelling supporters after Haaland’s winner and again at the final whistle, with the festivities continuing inside the dressing room.

Loud music could be heard coming from the City changing room while Liverpool boss Arne Slot and captain Virgil van Dijk conducted their post-match interviews.
“Let’s see if the music is still playing when Pep does his interview,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
“City are allowed to celebrate, but you also have to show some respect. Turn the music down when people are doing press interviews. It’s ridiculous.”
Reflecting on the match and its impact on the title race, Keane added: “Massive result. A big boost for City. Their record here isn’t great.
Pep said before the game that when you come to Anfield you need personality and character – and this City team showed that, especially in the second half.
“They were very good in the first half in terms of football. We’ve criticised this team over the last 18 months because of the standards City set and this group hasn’t always reached them, but in the second half today they showed hunger and quality.
“It’s more than just three points. Psychologically, it’s a huge lift and a real blow for Arsenal.

Arsenal still have a strong lead, but to see City go behind and still come away with three points is enormous.”
Wayne Rooney labelled Manchester City’s win at Anfield as “crucial” for the title race and urged Arsenal to “concentrate on their own performances.”
