After another busy day of transfer chatter, it’s time to round up some of the biggest – and most unusual – Premier League rumours you may have missed in the last 24 hours, beginning with a story that will interest fans of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.
According to Sports Boom, both clubs are said to be “targeting” former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, with the Red Devils also reportedly considering bringing him back after his impressive spell in Serie A with Napoli.
All three clubs are believed to be circling a potential deal. Newcastle are claimed to have “made an enquiry” about his situation, while Palace are supposedly “keeping close tabs” as they weigh up their options. There is no clear indication yet of how serious United’s interest might be.
What has been suggested is that Napoli could demand as much as £70m for a player who has become a key figure for them after helping deliver the Scudetto in his debut season. There is still no indication whether any of his suitors would be prepared to meet that valuation.

Leeds make ‘enquiries’ over rising French star
Turning to France, Media Foot claim that Leeds United have “made enquiries” about the availability of 22-year-old Stade Rennais midfielder Djaoui Cissé, who is said to have enjoyed a “rapid rise” this season.
Leeds are not alone in tracking the young Frenchman, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen also reportedly watching his development closely. That could complicate matters for Daniel Farke’s side, as a move to Germany is thought to be Cissé’s preferred option.
Even so, Rennes have not yet decided whether to sell and no transfer fee has been set. With Cissé under contract until 2030, the French club remain in a strong negotiating position.

That said, Leeds do appear to be stepping up their scouting ahead of the summer window. A busy off-season could be ahead, whether or not Cissé is part of their plans.
Man Utd get ‘green light’ to sign Bundesliga target
We finish with another story involving Manchester United, this time via TeamTalk, who report that the Red Devils have been given the “green light” to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, the brother of Leeds forward Lukas Nmecha.
United’s interest in the 25-year-old has been mentioned before, with previous reports also linking clubs such as Chelsea. Now, Michael Carrick’s revitalised side are said to be the leading contenders to land Nmecha, who is valued at around €60m (£52m).
Dortmund are still attempting to secure him on a new contract but appear to accept that a departure is more likely. Although the player is reportedly in “no hurry” to decide his future, it is claimed that his representatives have effectively approved a move to Old Trafford.
