“It’s the toughest competition because it lasts so long. Nothing is settled until the very end, and just like last season, we’ll need to battle until the finish, collect points and avoid dropping any matches because every game matters. Hopefully, we can achieve it.”
Lamine Yamal also responded to the criticism he has faced over the past 12 to 18 months regarding his relatively low goal tally, having scored 39 times in 135 appearances for Barcelona since making his debut in 2023.
“My style of play isn’t focused only on goals. It’s true that it creates debate, because when I perform well people say I don’t score, and when I score they say I don’t play well. What I want is to play well, help the team win and keep going in this direction.”
