Liverpool have been linked with a potential transfer battle against Real Madrid and Manchester City for a highly versatile Italian star.
Andrea Cambiaso, 26, is currently on the books at Juventus and is now expected to attract strong interest from elite clubs across both Europe and England.
The Italy international has mainly operated at left-back for the Bianconeri this season, but his tactical flexibility has made him stand out.
With Juventus under Luciano Spalletti experimenting with different systems, Cambiaso has featured as a left-sided midfielder in a back-three setup, as well as on the right wing and at right-back.
That adaptability could address several issues for Liverpool, who have struggled to find consistency at right-back, and could even allow for a tactical reshuffle.
Liverpool interested in Andrea Cambiaso
It can be argued that Liverpool have not had a player of Cambiaso’s profile since James Milner departed in 2023 — a dependable all-rounder capable of filling multiple roles.
Every title-chasing squad needs this type of utility player, which makes Cambiaso a particularly appealing target.
Currently earning around £38,000 per week at Juventus, according to Caught Offside, his wages would fit comfortably within Liverpool’s structure. However, the transfer fee would be significant.
The Italian club are said to value him between £52m and £61m, although that figure could be adjusted if Juventus look to include Federico Chiesa in negotiations.
Cambiaso would cost €60m to €70m
“Clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are closely monitoring Juventus full-back Cambiaso,” the report states.
“His current deal runs until 2029, and his reported salary of about €2.4 million per year keeps him well within the wage structures of interested clubs.
“Juventus are expected to seek between €60–70 million before entering serious talks.”
Liverpool would not necessarily require Cambiaso as their first-choice left-back, with Milos Kerkez projected to hold that role long term.
However, Cambiaso would provide strong cover for the Hungary international, while also offering options at right-back and across both wings.
For the reigning Premier League champions, it would be like acquiring four players in one deal.
